Matrix Service Tank Division is currently seeking skilled Field Tank Welders/Fitters for multiple travel projects across the United States. This role requires precision welding and fitting in compliance with job specifications and safety standards. Competitive pay will be determined based on successful weld test completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce high-quality welds efficiently, following welding procedure specifications

• Assist with fit-up, weld preparation, post-weld cleanup, inspection, and repair

• Work closely with the Field Foreman and communicate site concerns

• Adhere strictly to company safety policies and Matrix’s Core Values

• Identify and mitigate safety hazards on site

• Represent Matrix professionally while upholding the company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics

Required Knowledge & Skills:

• Ability to pass welding tests: 2G SMAW, FCAW 2G, 3G & 4G plate tests

• Maintain a 95-100% pass rate on weld X-ray and visual inspections

• Proficient in reading blueprints, welding procedure specifications, and verbal instructions

• Tank building experience is preferred but not mandatory

• Ability to comply with drug testing and background screening requirements

• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid TWIC card and complete site-specific safety training

• Clean shaven or free of facial hair as required for respirator seal (site-specific)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work at heights and inside confined spaces

• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 60 lbs; heavy lifting required

• Ability to kneel, squat, crouch, stoop, climb, and stand/walk for extended hours (8-10 hours/day)

• Work in hot and cold environments for prolonged periods
