Matrix Service Tank Division is seeking experienced AGW / 3 O'clock Welders for travel projects throughout the U.S. This role involves performing high-quality welding and grinding tasks per job specifications, working closely with supervision, and maintaining strict accuracy and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding and grinding following precise job specs and procedure

• Assist with fit-up, weld preparation, post-weld cleanup, inspection, and repairs

• Communicate regularly with Field Foreman about job site issues

• Comply fully with Matrix’s safety policies and programs

• Identify and address safety hazards proactively

• Uphold company’s Code of Business Conduct and Core Values with professionalism

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Ability to pass 2G SMAW, FCAW 2G, 3G & 4G plate welding tests

• Maintain 95-100% pass rate on weld X-ray and visual inspections

• Proficient at reading blueprints, written instructions, and verbal directions

• Follow welding procedure specifications accurately

• Competitive pay established after successful weld testing

Qualifications:

• Tank building experience preferred

• Must pass drug screening and background checks

• Completion of Basic Safety Council courses and Matrix-specific safety training required

• Valid TWIC card required

• Must be clean-shaven or free of facial hair for proper respirator/face mask seal (site-specific)

• Willingness to travel frequently and relocate as needed

• Willing to work overtime

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 60 lbs

• Ability to kneel, squat, crouch, stoop, climb, stand, and walk for extended hours (8-10 hours/day)

• Work in varied temperatures, including hot and cold conditions
