

Trade Team is actively hiring experienced Aluminum and Structural Welders for a major shipyard project located in Marinette, Wisconsin. These roles are ideal for professionals with prior shipyard experience who are skilled in MIG Pulse Aluminum and FCAW processes. Welders will undergo rigorous testing and must demonstrate the ability to meet high-quality standards in structural fabrication. Primary Function:
The Aluminum & Structural Welders are responsible for executing high-precision welds on structural steel and aluminium components used in shipbuilding. The role requires interpreting blueprints, completing welds that meet x-ray and inspection standards, and ensuring compliance with industry safety and fabrication protocols.
Tools and Equipment Used:

FCAW and MIG Pulse welding machines

Welding hoods, gloves, and PPE

Measuring tools and gauges

Grinders, clamps, and rigging equipment

Blueprint reading and interpretation tools
Materials Handled:

Structural steel

Aluminium plates and fittings

Welding rods and filler materials

Technical drawings and ship schematics

Safety documentation and welding procedures
Key Responsibilities:

Perform structural welding using FCAW process in 2G, 3G, and 4G positions on steel

Perform aluminium welding using MIG Pulse in 2G, 3G, and 4G positions (tests will be x-rayed)

Interpret and work from shipyard blueprints and technical drawings

Pass blueprint reading test and hands-on weld test as part of the qualification process

Ensure all work complies with shipyard safety and quality standards

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Report any issues to supervisors and collaborate with team members

Must be willing to travel and relocate temporarily to Marinette, WI
Benefits:

Structural Welders: $22.00/hour + $150 per diem (for days worked)

Aluminium Welders: $26.00/hour + $150 per diem (for days worked)
