

NAK Kiln Services specialises in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of rotary kilns. Our clients include cement manufacturers, paper mills, and various mineral and chemical processing companies across the United States.
Position Summary
This role requires extensive travel nationwide and involves the installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial equipment and machinery. Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and be prepared to be away from home for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities

Fit bearings, align gears and tires, and attach motors according to specifications.

Use hoists, pulleys, jacks, and come-a-longs for machinery handling.

Install, repair, replace, and dismantle machinery following blueprint specifications.

Act as signal person for crane operators to ensure site safety.

Perform welding using FCAW (dual shield) and SMAW (stick) to AWS D1.1 Structural code standards.

Cut and trim metal using oxy/acetylene torches.

Use carbon arc gouging to remove welds or prepare surfaces for welding.

Operate forklifts and manlifts to move equipment and materials as needed.
Education & Experience
-
High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum six months related experience or training in welding and ironwork preferred.
Skills & Abilities
-
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
-
Strong problem-solving skills for standardized job situations.
-
Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
-
Frequent exposure to outdoor weather and moving mechanical parts.

Noise levels typically loud.

Must be able to walk, stand, climb, and lift/move up to 50 pounds.

Vision requirements include close and distance vision, colour and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Must comply with safety procedures and use personal protective equipment at all times.
Travel Requirements

Extensive travel throughout the United States, often away from home for several weeks at a time.
