The RGLNG project in Brownsville, TX includes:

• 3 liquefaction trains

• 2 LNG storage tanks

• 1 marine berth

Position Overview

We are hiring Journey-Level Structural Ironworkers for the Rio Grande LNG project in Brownsville. Ideal candidates have experience working with cranes, rigging, and erecting heavy steel structures while following precise safety standards and construction protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate pulleys, cables, and hooks to lift and position structural materials such as steel beams, rebar bundles, and machinery.

• Understand rigging fundamentals including center of gravity, working load limits, D/d ratios for shackles, and the use of softeners.

• Maintain a clean and safe worksite and follow Bechtel’s safety procedures rigorously.

• Complete pre-employment screenings including drug and alcohol testing, physical exams, and background checks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a structural ironworker on industrial or heavy construction projects.

• Strong understanding of rigging and lifting procedures.

• Physically fit for duty and capable of working at heights or in challenging environments.

• Committed to team safety, communication, and job-site professionalism.
