

NAK Kiln Services specializes in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of rotary kilns. Our clients include cement manufacturers, paper mills, and various mineral and chemical processing companies throughout the United States.
Job Summary
The Welder with Ironworker experience will install and repair industrial machinery and equipment, working strictly on a travel basis. This role requires precision welding, machinery alignment, and equipment handling in compliance with safety and blueprint specifications.
Key Responsibilities

Fit bearings, align gears and tires, and attach motors as needed.

Use hoists, pulleys, jacks, and come-alongs for equipment positioning and installation.

Install, repair, replace, and dismantle machinery following blueprint specifications.

Act as signal person for crane operators to ensure site safety and communication continuity.

Perform welding tasks joining steel materials using FCAW (dual shield) and SMAW (stick) welding methods according to AWS D1.1 Structural code.

Use oxy/acetylene cutting to cut and trim metal objects to required dimensions.

Perform carbon arc gouging to remove welds or steel for crack repairs or weld preparation.

Move equipment and materials with forklifts and manlifts.
Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred; or six months of related experience/training or equivalent.

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).

Strong reasoning skills to carry out detailed instructions and solve routine problems.

Valid U.S. driver’s license required.

Must be able to travel extensively and be away from home for several weeks at a time.

Own and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Frequent walking, standing, and occasional climbing.

Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and loud noise levels.

Work around moving mechanical parts and industrial environments.

Must comply with company safety procedures and PPE requirements at all times.
