Hutco, Inc. is seeking experienced Pipe Welders for a marine industry project in Pascagoula, MS. This role involves TIG and Stick welding procedures on stainless steel and copper-nickel pipe, performed to X-ray quality standards in a demanding shipyard environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform TIG (GTAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding on piping systems

• Weld to military-standard X-ray quality in restricted 6G positions

• Interpret and follow blueprints and weld procedures accurately

• Use appropriate filler materials and welding processes

• Work in confined spaces and at elevated heights

• Maintain clean work areas and comply with safety protocols

Materials and Methods:

• Stainless steel and copper-nickel pipe

• 5” Schedule 80 carbon steel for testing

• GTAW for root pass

• 11018 electrode for fill and cap

• Welds must meet X-ray inspection standards

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of pipe welding experience

• Proficiency in TIG (GTAW) and Stick (SMAW) welding

• Must pass a 6G pipe welding test on carbon steel (X-ray quality)

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (proof of citizenship or permanent residency required)

• Able to pass drug screen (HFT) and background check

• Willing to work all shifts in varied environments, including confined spaces and outdoor conditions
