

360X Staffing is seeking experienced Pipe Welders for new construction projects supporting Department of Defense Navy ships in Marinette, WI. This role is vital for ensuring the highest welding quality standards on critical piping systems for military vessels. The Pipe Welder contributes directly to project success by delivering precision welds that meet strict specifications.
Primary Function:
The primary function is to perform Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) on Copper-Nickel (CUNI) socket welds and 6G stainless steel piping, ensuring all welds pass macro etch testing. The role requires strict adherence to blueprint specifications, quality control, and safety protocols on a shipbuilding construction site.
Tools and Equipment Used:

Welding helmets, gloves, and personal protective equipment (PPE)

Inspection and testing instruments for macro etch procedures

Measuring and layout tools
Materials Handled:

Copper-Nickel (CUNI) piping and fittings

Stainless steel pipes, especially in the 6G position

Welding filler rods and electrodes
Key Responsibilities:

Execute GTAW pipe welding on Copper-Nickel socket welds and stainless steel in 6G positions.

Perform socket welds in compliance with precise technical specifications.

Inspect welded joints and ensure all pass macro etch testing for quality assurance.

Accurately read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and procedures.

Collaborate with the welding team and project managers to meet deadlines.

Maintain a safe working environment by following established safety protocols.

Report any defects or non-compliance issues promptly to supervisors.
