Key Responsibilities:

• Install underground and above-ground electrical conduit and cable trays supporting photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays

• Pull, terminate, and test DC wiring between solar panels and inverters

• Install and connect inverters, combiner boxes, disconnects, switchgear, transformers, and panelboards

• Perform terminations on medium-voltage (MV) equipment and coordinate energization with utility companies

• Use electrical testing tools such as multimeters and megohmmeters to verify safety and code compliance

• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and site plans

• Adhere strictly to NEC, OSHA, and project safety standards

Qualifications:

• Journeyman-level electrician experience preferred; supervised electricians may be considered depending on project scope

• Previous experience with utility-scale solar or large commercial electrical projects strongly preferred

• Knowledge of PV system components, grounding requirements, and string configuration a plus

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy equipment

• Multiple jobsite locations across Upstate New York

• Duration: Minimum 3 months with potential extensions

• Per diem: $125/day for qualified candidates traveling to job sites
