Summit Skilled Solutions / MCM is actively hiring experienced Ironworker / Welders for a structural steel erection project in Burlington, NC. This position requires at least 3 years of verifiable structural steel erection experience, along with up-to-date welding continuity logs and certifications. Aerial lift certification is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings

• Fabricate, assemble, and install structural steel components (beams, columns, braces)

• Cut, shape, and bend steel using welding machines, plasma cutters, and press brake machines

• Rig and lift heavy steel components safely into position

• Install metal decking and supporting materials for floors, walls, and roofs

• Weld or bolt structural members to ensure integrity

• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with codes, specifications, and quality standards

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in structural steel erection

• Proficiency in blueprint reading and layout interpretation

• Welding certifications and active continuity log

• Aerial lift certification

• Experience with MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding

• Familiarity with ductwork fabrication, pipe threading, machining, and plasma cutting

• Strong understanding of construction codes and safety standards

• Physical strength and ability to work at heights in a physically demanding environment

Compensation & Benefits:

• $30.00 per hour

• $100 daily per diem
