We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Millwright to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of plant machinery by installing, repairing, lubricating, and maintaining mechanical apparatus and equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Primary Function:

Install, repair, lubricate, and maintain mechanical equipment and apparatus throughout the plant, ensuring optimal machinery performance and minimizing downtime.

Tools and Equipment Used:

• Wrenches, hammers, pliers, burning equipment

• Small hand tools, power tools, measuring tools

• Cranes, mobile equipment, power trucks, man lifts

• Oil can, grease gun, gauges

• Pipe cutting, threading, and bending machines

• Stock and dies, levels, bars

Materials Handled:

• Machine parts and assemblies

• Pipe, tubing, hose, grease, oil, cable, rope, chain

• Jacks, tools, and equipment requiring repairs

• Fittings, cutting supplies, compressors, filters, lubricants

• Steam traps, valves, gas, acid, compressed gas cylinders

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete required records, time cards, reports, PM requisitions, and surveys.

• Perform incidental minor duties in support of primary job functions.

• Operate power trucks, man lifts, mobile equipment, and cranes.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, charts, and sketches.

• Perform burning, welding, brazing, heating, and soldering as needed.

• Plan work details, determine materials and tool requirements.

• Repair, replace, assemble, disassemble, clean, and test mechanical equipment.

• Install, test, repair, inspect, and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, steam, gas, acid, water, coolant, and space heating systems.

• Replace and install lubrication fittings; change oil and grease equipment.

• Operate production equipment in conjunction with maintenance activities.

• Perform precision alignments on coupling gears and scrap bearings to close tolerances.

• Keep equipment, work areas, and lunchroom clean and orderly.

• Perform rigging, setups, and lifts; maintain filtering equipment.

• Conduct fabricating work as required.

• Perform lock-out and tag-out procedures in compliance with safety standards.

• Conduct miscellaneous painting in assigned work areas.

• Form, tie, and install reinforcing steel.
