

Bechtel is seeking a skilled Journey Level Electrician to support construction activities at the Port Arthur LNG project site. This role is vital to our mission of delivering high-quality, large-scale energy infrastructure. You will be working in an industrial environment performing electrical installations, maintenance, and testing while upholding Bechtel’s commitment to safety, ethics, and excellence.
Primary Function
The primary responsibility of the Journey Level Electrician is to install, modify, and maintain electrical systems and equipment in a heavy industrial setting, ensuring safe operation and compliance with codes and blueprints. The role includes both new construction and troubleshooting tasks in support of liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal development.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and diagrams

Install, modify, and maintain conduit, wiring, fixtures, and control systems

Measure, cut, thread, and assemble conduit systems using hand and power tools

Pull, splice, and terminate electrical wiring in industrial equipment
-
Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
-
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices
-
Perform maintenance and repair on defective electrical equipment
-
Maintain a clean and safe job site, adhering to Bechtel’s high safety standards

Work on uneven terrain, climb ladders, and lift materials safely
-
Support team members and participate in ongoing site training initiatives
Requirements

Minimum 48 months of verifiable industrial construction experience

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams
-
Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, fitness-for-duty physical, and background check
-
Physically capable of climbing, lifting, and working in elevated areas

Strong adherence to safety and housekeeping protocols
Benefits

Competitive Pay Range – $30.00 to $34.00/hour (based on experience and completion incentives)
