

Hutco, Inc. is seeking experienced 1st Class Electricians to support shipbuilding and ship repair operations in Pascagoula, MS. This role is vital to ensuring the proper layout, installation, maintenance, and testing of shipboard electrical systems, contributing to the overall safety and performance of marine vessels.
Primary Function:
To install, maintain, and repair shipboard electrical wiring, equipment, and systems, ensuring conformance to relevant codes, specifications, and safety standards in a marine or industrial environment.
Tools and Equipment Used:

Electrical hand and power tools

Voltmeters and ammeters

Oscilloscopes and other testing instruments

Wire strippers, cutters, and crimping tools

Multimeters and continuity testers

PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, etc.)
Materials Handled:

Electrical wiring (standard and marine grade)

Conduit and raceway components
-
Circuit breakers, switches, and fuses
-
Shipboard electronic systems (radar, sonar, navigation)

Electrical schematics and blueprints
Key Responsibilities:
-
Read and interpret marine blueprints, drawings, and schematics
-
Perform electrical layout, installation, and repair of shipboard systems
-
Install and maintain ship power systems, internal communication, radar, sonar, and navigation systems

Conduct testing and troubleshooting using various electrical testing tools

Work from both standard and metric specifications
-
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines and quality standards
-
Adhere strictly to safety and environmental compliance requirements
-
Work flexible shifts and overtime as required
-
Pass required drug screening (HFT) and background checks
Benefits:
