

C.A. Jones, Inc. is seeking experienced Pipe Welders for long-term, high-impact naval ship construction projects in partnership with the U.S. Department of Defense. Based in Marinette, Wisconsin, this is a key opportunity to work on national defence contracts in a highly specialised marine environment. Applicants must have a minimum of five years of shipyard or marine welding experience and be prepared to work any shift.
Primary Function:
The Pipe Welder is responsible for executing high-quality welds on a variety of pipe materials used in the construction of naval vessels. This role requires expert-level skills in welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper-nickel using restricted-position techniques (6GR). The welder will contribute directly to the structural integrity and functionality of marine defence systems.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) and welding helmets

Pipe fittings and socket weld components

Blueprints and welding procedure documents
Key Responsibilities:

Perform advanced pipe welding using 6GR restricted-position techniques

Pass a series of weld tests including bend tests (X-ray not required)

Interpret and work from technical blueprints and piping schematics

Collaborate with engineering and fitting teams during ship construction

Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area

Work any assigned shift as needed for project delivery

Uphold Department of Defense safety and quality assurance standards

Commit to testing and onboarding processes (approximately 1 week duration)
