

We are seeking experienced Pipe Welders for an industrial construction project in Rougemont, NC. The role involves performing a wide range of pipe welding functions to high-quality standards, including working with a variety of processes and materials. All candidates must be able to pass a weld test and meet strict safety and quality requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:

Perform welding operations in accordance with site specifications and code requirements (ARC, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, GAS, MIG, TIG).

Weld carbon and stainless steel pipe for both high- and low-pressure systems; all welds subject to NDE, hydro, and X-ray testing.

Layout, fit-up, and assemble pipe components.

Weld structural components such as brackets, handrails, and supports.

Read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, and jobsite welding procedures.

Work closely with supervision and QA/QC to ensure quality and compliance.

Maintain high safety standards and report any potential hazards.

Perform grinding and other prep work as needed.

Wear all required PPE and comply with company safety programs at all times.

Complete other duties as assigned by supervision.
Requirements:
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial construction, refinery maintenance, or turnaround work.

Must pass weld test:
-
TIG/Stick: 70S-6 / 7018 on CS Monster Coupon (2-3/4" x 5/8")

TIG: 308L SS on 4" Schedule 10 stainless
-

Current welding certifications in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW or FCAW required.

Familiarity with NDE testing standards and expectations.

Strong ability to work within tight tolerances and quality specs.

Must pass drug test and background check.

Completion of company safety, PSM, and site-specific training (provided).

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights using fall protection.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Work involves standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting.

Will be exposed to weather conditions (heat, cold, outdoor elements).

Must wear full PPE at all times including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and hearing protection.

Use of ladders, scaffolding, and elevated platforms required.
Additional Information:
-
Per diem of $90/day is paid 7 days per week.

This position is part of an industrial construction crew working on a safety-first jobsite.
