As an Electrician, you will contribute directly to maintaining and improving critical electrical systems that support the production of world-class marine propulsion systems. This role is designed to develop your skills through a structured apprenticeship, leading to a Journeyworker Electrician position. You will gain hands-on experience working with cutting-edge technology while ensuring all work meets safety regulations and quality standards.

Primary Function:

Assist in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electrical systems in a manufacturing environment. Gain in-depth knowledge of electrical codes and safety procedures while supporting daily operations and participating in electrical projects that contribute to the company's ongoing innovation initiatives.

Tools and Equipment Used:

• Electrical diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, circuit testers)

• Power and hand tools (drills, saws, pliers, wire strippers)

• PC-based systems for troubleshooting equipment

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Industrial electrical equipment and control panels

Materials Handled:

• Electrical wiring, cables, and conduits

• Circuit breakers, control panels, transformers, and switchgear

• Industrial motors and power distribution equipment

• Safety and protective equipment

Key Responsibilities:

• Work under the guidance of Journeyworker Electricians to install and maintain electrical systems.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams for equipment installations.

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical motors and control systems.

• Layout, install, and maintain a wide variety of complex electrical equipment.

• Ensure all work complies with state and local electrical codes and safety standards.

• Participate in the setup of secondary distribution centers and balance electrical loads.

• Perform routine electrical inspections and preventative maintenance.

• Maintain accurate documentation related to electrical systems and repairs.

• Follow all company safety protocols and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
