

All About Labor, LLC is seeking experienced 1st Class Pipe Welders to join our team supporting leading shipyards in Pascagoula, MS. This role demands skilled professionals dedicated to producing high-quality welds on piping systems within Navy and commercial vessels. Ideal candidates are precise, safety-conscious, and able to interpret complex welding blueprints and procedures.
Primary Function:
The primary responsibility is to perform advanced pipe welding using various methods to fabricate, join, and repair piping assemblies according to project blueprints and welding procedure specifications. The 1st Class Pipe Welder ensures all welds meet rigorous quality standards and complies with safety and operational protocols.
Tools and Equipment Used:

Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) equipment

Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) machines

Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) systems

Pipe cutting and beveling tools

Welding inspection gauges and testing equipment

Personal protective equipment (PPE) including helmets, gloves, and respirators
Materials Handled:

Carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping

Welding rods, filler metals, and flux materials

Pipe fittings and flanges
-
Technical blueprints and welding procedure documents
Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and procedure specifications

Perform pipe welding using SMAW, FCAW, GTAW, or other approved methods

Inspect welds for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with project specifications

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment

Work safely in confined spaces, at heights, and in various environmental conditions

Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades as needed
-
Participate in welding qualification tests and continuous skills improvement
Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a pipe welder in shipyard or industrial environments

Valid welding certifications with demonstrated proficiency in required welding techniques

Ability to read and understand detailed welding procedures and blueprints

Successful completion of a hands-on welding qualification test

Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and in physically demanding settings
Pay & Benefits:

$32.00 to $36.00 per hour, based on qualifications

$147.00 daily per diem for qualifying candidates

Weekly pay schedule

40 to 70 hours per week, with overtime opportunities

Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional weekend work
