Stimson Lumber Company in St. Maries, Idaho is seeking a talented and motivated Millwright Apprentice to join our team. Primary Function:

Assist experienced Millwrights with preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, and system troubleshooting. Develop practical mechanical skills through on-the-job training and classroom instruction, ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of industrial equipment.

Tools and Equipment Used:

• Wrenches, hammers, pliers, and small hand tools

• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

• Measuring tools and gauges

• Mobile equipment and cranes

• Power tools and diagnostic equipment

Materials Handled:

• Industrial machinery components and assemblies

• Hydraulic and pneumatic parts

• Lubricants, oils, filters, and seals

• Valves, piping systems, and mechanical fittings

• Safety and protective equipment

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate safe work practices in all activities.

• Support Millwrights with equipment maintenance and repairs.

• Participate in preventative maintenance tasks and troubleshooting.

• Assist with classroom and book course work as directed.

• Communicate proactively with all departments regarding equipment needs.

• Learn and apply mechanical concepts related to hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for long periods, and working in varied environmental conditions.
