We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Millwright to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and apparatus throughout the plant. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with complex machinery, a strong commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics.

Primary Function:

Install, repair, lubricate, and maintain mechanical apparatus and equipment across the plant. Ensure all machinery is operating efficiently and safely to support optimal plant productivity.

Tools and Equipment Used:

• Wrenches, hammers, pliers, burning equipment

• Small hand tools, cranes, mobile equipment

• Oil can, grease gun, power trucks, man lift

• Gauges, pipe cutting, threading, and bending machines

• Stock and dies, levels, bars, power tools, measuring tools

Materials Handled:

• Machine parts and assemblies

• Pipe, tubing, hose, grease, oil, cable, rope, chain

• Jacks, tools, and equipment to be repaired

• Fittings, cutting supplies, compressors, filters, lubricants

• Steam traps, valves, gas, acid, compressed gas cylinders

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete required records, time cards, reports, PM requisitions, and surveys.

• Operate power trucks, man lifts, mobile equipment, and cranes as needed.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, charts, and sketches.

• Perform burning, welding, brazing, heating, and soldering tasks.

• Plan work details and determine material and tool requirements.

• Repair, replace, assemble, disassemble, clean, and test mechanical equipment.

• Install, test, inspect, adjust, and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, steam, gas, acid, water, coolant, and space heating systems.

• Change oil, grease equipment, replace/install lubrication fittings.

• Operate production equipment during maintenance activities.

• Perform precision alignments on coupling gears and scrap bearings to close tolerances.

• Maintain a clean and orderly equipment, work area, and lunchroom.

• Conduct rigging, set-ups, and lifts; perform duties to maintain filtering equipment.

• Carry out fabricating work as necessary and perform lock-out/tag-out procedures.

• Apply miscellaneous painting and install reinforcing steel as needed.
