Project Overview:
The Louisiana LNG project is a liquefied natural gas export facility located in Sulphur, LA, with a planned capacity of 27.6 million tons per annum. Construction is underway for the first phase, targeting initial production in 2026.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Tank Welder (Journey Level) who can demonstrate proficiency in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW). The successful candidate will perform welding, component installation, fit-up, and alignment tasks while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Pass a pre-employment welding examination
-
Apply technical knowledge and practical welding skills

Assist in component installation, fit-up, and alignment
-
Perform SMAW and GTAW welding processes
-
Verify component positions using precision tools such as straight edges, combination squares, calipers, and rules
-
Prepare welds and clean-up using grinders, buffers, files, and chipping hammers
-
Tack weld components to secure them for welding
-
Familiarity with weld acceptance criteria and perform frontline inspection of welding work

Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and project standards
Qualifications:

Proven welding experience at journey level

Ability to pass welding examination and drug/alcohol testing

Physically able to meet the demands of the role

Commitment to workplace safety and good housekeeping

Ability to work well within a team environment
