We are seeking experienced Combo Welders / Pipefitters with strong multi-craft capabilities for a short-term project in a temperature-controlled fabrication facility. This role requires proficiency in both welding and pipefitting, including work with stainless and carbon steel, structural fitting, and the ability to interpret detailed drawings and schematics.

Primary Function:

The Combo Welder / Pipefitter will be responsible for fitting and welding carbon and stainless pipe, interpreting isometric and P&ID drawings, and performing various structural and fabrication tasks. A background in millwright work is considered a plus. This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility, technical skill, and a strong safety mindset.

Welding/Fitting Test:

• TIG (GTAW) pipe weld test on A-36 carbon steel, 2" SCH 40

• Candidates must be proficient in GMAW and GTAW processes

• Fitting accuracy and print reading will be evaluated

Tools and Equipment Used:

• TIG and MIG welding machines

• Pipefitting tools (levels, pipe stands, threaders)

• Grinders, saws, and general hand tools

• Lifting/rigging equipment for fabrication

Key Responsibilities:

• Weld carbon and stainless steel pipe using TIG and MIG processes

• Accurately fit pipe and structural elements per drawings

• Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&ID schematics, and blueprints

• Perform structural fitting and general fabrication

• Maintain clean, safe, and organised workspaces

• Collaborate with other trades and maintain high safety standards

• Willingness to perform tasks across multiple trades as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience in pipefitting and welding

• Ability to pass weld test and hands-on fit assessment

• Must pass a background check and drug screen

• Millwright experience is a plus

• Strong multi-craft aptitude and teamwork skills

• Per diem is paid for all 7 days, not just days worked
