

MK Industries Inc. is seeking experienced 1st Class Pipe Welders to join our team in Pascagoula, MS. This key role involves performing precision welding on vital piping networks for shipbuilding projects. The Pipe Welder ensures the safe and efficient operation of chemical, steam, ventilation, and HVAC systems on vessels, contributing significantly to our company’s success in the shipbuilding industry.
Primary Function:
The Pipe Welder is responsible for executing high-quality welding procedures on stainless steel and copper-nickel piping systems using GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (Stick) welding techniques. This role operates within a demanding shipyard environment, often requiring work at heights, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions across multiple shifts.

Flux-Core Arc Welding (FCAW) tools

Welding electrodes (e.g., 11018)

Measuring and inspection instruments

Schedule 80 carbon steel pipes

Key Responsibilities:

Perform pipe welding on stainless steel and copper-nickel piping systems using TIG and Stick welding processes.

Pass military-standard X-ray welding tests on stainless steel and copper-nickel in the 6G restricted position.

Work safely in confined spaces, at heights, and under various weather conditions.

Follow shipyard safety protocols and wear all required PPE.

Operate effectively during day or night shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.

Maintain welding equipment and ensure tools are in proper working condition.

Adhere strictly to quality standards and inspection requirements.
