

Trade Team is hiring skilled Aluminum and Structural Welders for a long-term project at a shipyard in Marinette, WI. These roles are vital to the successful fabrication and repair of marine vessels and structures. Candidates must have prior shipyard experience and be capable of passing position-specific weld tests. This opportunity includes competitive pay, per diem, lodging support, and travel reimbursement.
Primary Function:
The Aluminum & Structural Welders are responsible for executing high-quality welds on steel and aluminium materials used in marine construction. These positions require precision, knowledge of welding codes, and the ability to work from blueprints in a shipyard environment.

Materials Handled:

Welding consumables (flux-cored wire, aluminium wire)

Shipbuilding components and assemblies
Key Responsibilities:

Perform FCAW welds on structural steel in 2G, 3G, and 4G positions
-
Execute MIG Pulse welds on aluminium in 2G, 3G, and 4G positions (X-ray tested)

Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
-
Assist in structural fitting tasks as needed

Maintain weld quality to meet shipyard and safety standards
-
Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations
-
Participate in required testing and qualification processes
-
Maintain good housekeeping in work area

Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules

Additional Requirements:

Must be authorised to work in the United States

Must have 3–5 years of structural welding and/or fitting experience in a shipyard

Must pass all weld tests and a blueprint reading test

Willingness to work in a physically demanding shipyard environment
