

Stimson Lumber Company in St. Maries, Idaho is seeking a talented and motivated Millwright Apprentice to join our team. This hands-on role is perfect for individuals eager to develop their mechanical skills while working alongside experienced Millwrights. Primary Function:
Assist experienced Millwrights with preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, and system troubleshooting. Develop practical mechanical skills through on-the-job training and classroom instruction, ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate safe work practices in all activities.

Support Millwrights with equipment maintenance and repairs.

Participate in preventative maintenance tasks and troubleshooting.

Assist with classroom and book course work as directed.

Communicate proactively with all departments regarding equipment needs.

Learn and apply mechanical concepts related to hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for long periods, and working in varied environmental conditions.
Benefits:

Competitive Starting Pay: $29.00 – $32.00 per hour (higher based on experience)
