Bechtel is currently hiring experienced Structural Ironworkers for its Port Arthur LNG project, a major natural gas liquefaction and export terminal. This role involves safely handling and installing structural steel and heavy equipment in a large-scale industrial construction setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Use pulleys, cables, and hooks attached to cranes to lift heavy objects such as steel beams, rebar bundles, and mechanical equipment.

• Verify the center of gravity for loads to ensure safe handling.

• Determine working load limits for slings and use proper D/D ratios for shackle sizing.

• Select and apply appropriate rigging equipment and softeners.

• Maintain strong commitment to safety, health protocols, and good housekeeping on site.

Qualifications

• Journey-level structural ironworker experience.

• Ability to safely rig and lift heavy loads in compliance with industry standards.

• Commitment to safety, including passing pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, physical fitness for duty, and background checks.

• Willingness to work in a demanding industrial construction environment.
