

Bechtel is currently hiring experienced Structural Ironworkers for its Port Arthur LNG project, a major natural gas liquefaction and export terminal. This role involves safely handling and installing structural steel and heavy equipment in a large-scale industrial construction setting.
Key Responsibilities

Use pulleys, cables, and hooks attached to cranes to lift heavy objects such as steel beams, rebar bundles, and mechanical equipment.

Verify the center of gravity for loads to ensure safe handling.

Determine working load limits for slings and use proper D/D ratios for shackle sizing.

Select and apply appropriate rigging equipment and softeners.

Maintain strong commitment to safety, health protocols, and good housekeeping on site.
Qualifications

Journey-level structural ironworker experience.

Ability to safely rig and lift heavy loads in compliance with industry standards.

Commitment to safety, including passing pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, physical fitness for duty, and background checks.

Willingness to work in a demanding industrial construction environment.
