

Great Basin Staffing LLC is hiring Licensed Journeyman Electricians to support major industrial and data center projects across Idaho. This role is vital to the successful installation, maintenance, and operation of power infrastructure in high-demand environments. You’ll work with a top-tier electrical contractor on long-term assignments that offer competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a daily per diem for travelers.
Primary Function:
To perform electrical installations, troubleshooting, and upgrades in industrial and data center environments—particularly involving natural gas-powered generation units. This position ensures electrical systems meet operational requirements and strict safety standards while contributing to on-time, within-budget project execution.
Tools and Equipment Used:

Conduit benders (hand and hydraulic)

Wire pullers and strippers

Multimeters, megohmmeters, and circuit testers

Power drills, saws, and standard hand tools

Scissor lifts, boom lifts, and ladders

PPE (hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, harnesses)
Materials Handled:

Electrical conduit (EMT, RMC, PVC)

Copper and aluminum wiring (various gauges)

Electrical panels, switchgear, and transformers

Data cabling and fiber optics
-
Circuit breakers, fuses, connectors, and relays
Key Responsibilities:

Install and maintain industrial and commercial electrical systems.

Perform wiring, conduit installation, and terminations in data centers and industrial settings.

Troubleshoot and repair faulty systems and components.

Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety regulations.

Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to meet deadlines.

Upgrade and install natural gas power generation systems.
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free worksite.

Participate in safety meetings and adhere to site-specific protocols.

Accurately complete daily logs and project documentation.
Benefits:
